#12910 RE: G56B22 #12908

Do you remember Apple back in the early 80's? do you recall how their small business was run back then I doubt it because it was in its infacy. The same goes for the likes of Intel and I know that company I worked there for over twenty years. So when you compare a mature company and how it runs with a newbie its a weak argument. You have a right to be as critical as you want ..does it have the power to sway maybe, but not me those types of questions are going to be thrown out there and who knows maybe something will stick....good luck with your efforts

Perhaps LNGT is not highlighted in ITT's PRs...

but JUST WHO do you think is making the laser for this PRd device?

(Alexandria, Va., July 13, 2009) -- ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) today announced that its Joint Contamination Surface Detector (JCSD), a vehicle mounted tactical detector, successfully completed two weeks of field trials at Fort Sumner, N.M. with excellent results. The JCSD was developed by ITT for the Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Unmanned Ground Reconnaissance Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration and is funded by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and Research Chemical/Biological Technologies Directorate.

The trials evaluated the detector's ability to detect very small concentrations of chemical agent simulants on primary, secondary, and cross country road surfaces while traveling as fast as 45 mph. The system detects chemicals using a downward looking laser to read the chemical signatures of the ground as the vehicle is in motion. It can detect chemical warfare agents, toxic industrial chemicals and non-traditional agents. This system is a leap-ahead capability that enables real-time, non-contact chemical reconnaissance entirely on the move.
