matrix - The only information ever released about the decision to abort the CIM/MRDR merger is in the 6/3/04 PR and it didn't provide much detail other than a statement that the company planned to concentrate their efforts on diamond mining.

MRDR morphed into VWYI along with a 500:1 R/S in 7/04 and had an interesting past before that:
Formerly TO4C Corp. until 4-01
Formerly Aplox Corp. until 7-01
Formerly Nevada Magic Holdings Inc. until 6-99
Formerly Pacific Minerals & Chemical Inc. until 12-96

I agree that taking CIM straight to the pinks would seem to be the simpler choice. But the increase in A/S of SGGM and the CIM dividend announcement is signaling something (I think...LOL). Whether there is actually a R/M in their futures remains an open question. I wait with interest for the real story to unfold.
