I dont agree that its short notice. Gordon didnt file his motion all that long ago either so the court didnt have a lot of time to work with either considering all the cases they deal with. If you file the motion when Gordon did then I guess its fair to expect that you may receive a hearing date at any time prior to the 9-11 hearing. If you file to have the judge recuse herself then i guess you should expect to be prepared to have a hearing at anytime before 9-11. Its important that they address this issue before 9-11 hearing. If they replied on friday with hearing date , i dont consider that short notice considering the time when Gordon filed.
