Well now when we apply your definition of liberal to the neo conservatives movement in America they are rendered as "liberal".

The neo cons want to do away with separation of church and state.

The neo cons want to change the constitution to disallow "gay marriages".

The neo cons want to force their religious views onto the stem cell research community.

I can go on....

But the point is the neo cons are "liberal" anti constitutionalists by your own definition.

The people you have been calling liberal like me want the government to honor the "separation of church and state" as contemplated by the constitution.
