TORONTO (August 15, 2001) -- Digital World Cup ("DWC") (OTC Bulletin Board: DGWD) is poised to become the premier internet venue for competitive electronic sports entertainment, launching the world's first big stakes online golf tournament, with cash and merchandise prizes ranging up to One Hundred Thousand Dollars for the tournament winner.
The Pro 18 Online Tour is based on the highly successful PC game "Pro 18: World Golf Tour", originally distributed by Psygnosis, a subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Digital World Cup has acquired the worldwide Internet licensing rights, and partnered with game developer Poptronik Entertainment to convert the game for Internet play. DWC has added several unique features to enhance the PC version for online play.
Linking the very best online competitive sports with cash and high value merchandise prizes for players who master the skills required, DWC aims to unite and challenge traditional sport and gaming fans in competing for prizes never before offered in online sporting events.
The DWC offering has players competing on some of the most famous and challenging golf courses in the world including The Royal County Down course in Ireland, Lost City in South Africa, Royal Birkdale in the UK and the Coeur d'Alene course in the USA. To expand on these great courses, Digital World Cup has partnered with GeoGolf to bring our online tournaments new courses and play features each month. GeoGolf has been mapping golf courses exclusively since 1995.
In Pro 18: Online Tour, players will be charged a "pay for play" fee to compete in either a tournament round or a practice round. Only play in the tournament round qualifies them for the tournament prize of up to One Hundred Thousand dollars in cash and prizes.
The Tournament is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2001. Players will compete for one month. The top qualifying players will then play off for the cash and prizes. Beginning January, 2002, a full tour will be rolled out, with new courses introduced each month.
"We are truly excited to be at the forefront of a new wave of electronic sports entertainment," said Michael Levine, CEO of Digital World Cup. "We evaluated several games and feel confident that Pro 18: World Golf Tour is the right choice to be our first Tournament game. By building on the strong foundation of a successful PC game, and adding new courses every month, we will bring a new dimension to the game of Golf and take online Tournament play to a new level".
Your DD is seriously lacking in several areas - I suggest you revisit the SUIP NRs which stated that the Khul Morit property was not profitable to mine and the lease was rescinded back to the former lessor. Reno didn't "own" the land he only held a lease on it and the interest in that lease was transferred to the Sun Brothers.
I still have my SUIP shares - nothing has been rescinded and the stock is still trading so you are incorrect on that issue as well. You are correct that it is basically a shell at this point, however all SEC filings have been kept up to date.
The split was not 500 to 1 - rather 40 to 1 so recheck your source again on that issue as well.
So since both Reno and the Sun Brothers (SUIP) no longer have any interest in Khul Morit property, where do you get off saying they are rich and laughing all the way to the bank or is it your habbit to talk off the top of your head?
