SheldonLevine--I got the definite impression from S. Sprague that MS and WAVE have been intertwined very, very closely on Longhorn and the future of Trusted Computing for a very long time.

Some may remember this "old" WAVE job ad, which supports the notion of a long intertwined history between MS and WAVE on Trusted Computing. Part of the requirements of this position relates to LEADERSHIP:


"Leadership: As part of the Embassy Software product team, you will play a
leading role in the direction of Microsoft Wave's strategy and you will also be
expected to deliver against cross company responsibilities;"

Sr. Product Manager, Developer & Channel Sales for Wave Systems Corp.


The mission of this position is to evangelize the benefits and business value of
the Wave Embassy Trust Suite and Embassy server products to build a complete
trusted computing infrastructure based on the specifications of the Trusted
Computing Group. The role of the Senior Product Manager is to own, manage and
promote the developer and channel programs. Target audience is developers,
distributors, resellers, ISVs, Systems Integrators and OEMs (hardware and
software).


The Senior Product Manager needs to have a 3 year outlook in some cases (OEMs,
ISVs and understanding of NGSCB and LaGrande technologies) as well as a 12 month
revenue perspective.


Responsibilities







· Leadership: As part of the Embassy Software product team, you will play a
leading role in the direction of Microsoft Wave's strategy and you will also be
expected to deliver against cross company responsibilities;
· Trusted Computer evangelism: Win the enterprise development space, Move
broad developer community to Trusted Computing; Improve developer satisfaction,
Build TAP partner ecosystem, & Grow academic mind-share and usage.
· Business Management: Plan and deliver clear strategies to achieve revenue
goal for the Developer and Channel business;
· Resource Management: Effectively interact with the Wave software products
team. Make appropriate risks and decisions. Deliver commitments on time with a
high level of accuracy.


Requirements


· Qualifications: A Bachelor degree is mandatory and a Masters degree is
preferred;
· Minimum of 12 years experience in a variety of technical, marketing, and
sales roles in the high tech sector. Passion for technology and solid knowledge
of Enterprise global IT requirements and competitive offerings;
· Knowledge and experience of Trusted Computing and the use of Trusted
Platform modules.
