Got a funny feeling Bonderman is negotaiting this deal? He is shrewd and will not cave into JPM. He will drag them into court kicking and screaming on the Discovery issue and will only answer the phone if the numbers are substantially higher than the last offer. Also Ron Bass (his buddy) Basswood investments is in the same circle as him, Oak Tree Hill is also running in the Texas crowd with Carlyle and Blackstone. Ex-Presidents Bush Sr Bush Jr and Ford are part of the Carlyle Group that seems to be acquiring banks. I personally will not invest in any bank until Shelia Bair is thrown out on her ass! Shes too powerful, dangerous and freakn volatile like TNT!
