No one knows, but all of the circumstantial evidence on the table (possible placement of a mole, lack of meaningful bidding process, etc.) suggests that it is certainly possible.

Message In Reply To: do you KNOW that there are potential criminal and civil claims lurking there, BEYOND what WAMU is already claiming? DO you know this for a fact? I'm not saying JP won't pay, but don't count out a trial yet. Nobody knows what's in those documents.
I do know there are some quite hefty accusations in the filings and if ANY of these accusations are true JPM/FDIC will pony up the $$$ because if WMI can prove a single one is true would definately cause them trouble for the rest!
