Oh yeah I head about this months back. I do agree that they are testing this. The issue I would state is that it's too intrusive and that's why they are offering the pat down as an option. I do know it to be tested in Miami at this moment but they have a lot of people disagreeing with it. Which many are stating it's close to pornography and who will hold the pictures from getting leaked out?
There was an issues if I remember on my news channel that stated when a young women went through, someone got her picture and leaked it out. Cuz they liked her figure and who will be looking at the scans? Males do males and females do females? The next problem you will have is the person is gay and can they still can do the same sex scans? Now you would have to discriminate on the sexuality of the people, which is going to be a mess. I have looked at the scans up close myself and they are detailed. A person might as well walked into the airport naked, because that is what they would look like in the machine. What about the children going through? Already have a big problem with child porn. Do you think this will increase the chances of there being more child porn on the streets? XRay machines are suppose to shows the bones of the individual and metal parts. Why would you need to know the details of her physical body? Who wouldn't line up for this job? Strip show all day long!
Second if you look closely it doesn't show a scan around the foot area.
After reading that article I would think many wouldn't mind having their feet scanned and their body padded down. That's why I doubt the Magshoe will be extinct because of these scans. I also think these scans and the complaints will help increase the reasons will TSA will try the magshoe out and use them fully. Notice they haven't had much coverage on the Xray machines at the airports anymore. Because when it came out the outrage was through the roof. They couldn't do anything if they people were kept updated with the comings and goings of this machine.
So no I'm not worried about this machine. IDOI is a BUY and we are going to the MOOOOON! Alice!
