It's a given at this point in time that company could only posture this way, regardless of whether the ink is drying or not. IMO

I think you can assume by looking at the share price that your assumption is wrong--atleast I am assuming so.

Glad to hear from you and say hello to Mrs mschere for me.

I was 90% certain that there would be a settlement.

After listening to the conference call, I am now 50% certain. Why spend so much time discussing the effects of an adverse decision if a settlement was near at hand?

sjratty, I posted the words below yesterday and feel even more like this is the case. I felt like WM was saying on the call "i can't believe these SOB's might really going through all the way to the ID, but if they are we stand a very good chance of a win but you never now"

I guess it doesn't matter what kind of case nokia mounts, as in the end you still have that same game of chicken as both companies careen toward the decision. That may be all nokia wanted, was a chance IDCC flinch.

But now that FRAND is not evidence in court, I'd have to think IDCC has a much higher rate on the other side of the ID if they win.

No, not at all. Our CEO gave an outline of ITC win, settlement and ITC loss and its effect on the company. Slacker made a post stating that our CEO is full of beans with respect to his view of the effect on the company in case of a loss. Our CEO says that he would prefer a settlement, but is not afraid to take it to a decision.

sjratty, my impression is that WM was not talking to us, the shareholders, but, rather, to Nokia. While waiting for Nokia to agree to InterDig's offer, Merritt is signaling no fear of a decision.
