That's what I've been hearing. Twitter is too limiting and doesn't offer much that Facebook and text messaging doesn't already offer, so you don't get anything for your acceptance of very short messages. I know it's the case that very few people who sign up for twitter use it more than a month.
But the Captain's point, I think, is that on the pink market, one thing counts--press releases. And I agree with him. I'm sick of the coy hints on twitter, most of which are then forgotten about.
