yes -some people don't pretend to be better than thou - and are willing to forgive a convicted felon and give them a chance and be thier friend and see if they have changed thier ways - you are right

Probably means they don't care that Greg E. is a felon and may even have a friend or two that are felons. Maybe they themselves have had a run in with the law at some point in their life.
