ok so how about when gas goes back up over $4 then what? spend the .48 a family and make the switch otherwise we keep feeding the middle east the cash china gave us lol. brew it at home and pay off debt. to pass this is a no brainer

I agree with you, and I'm a conservative, however, do you know how much we'll be paying extra in gas when oil goes back over $150 per barrel? I feel it was the huge oil spike that actually created this recession we're in right now. Somebody has to have the guts someday to say enough is enough on foreign oil imports and big oil greed.

The CBO analysis estimated that the bill would cost an average household $175 a year; the EPA put it at between $80 and $110 a year.

A lot lower than your estimates.

I agree with you that the votes are not there to get it through the senate. But, this will be passed by the senate. They will tack a bunch of pork onto it to get the votes. It happens all the time.
