I have heard that encrpting disks will become MANDATORY by February 2010.

One would have to think that the Lenovo's, the HPs and all the others are aware of this... so I would expect some action on the OEM front between now and then...

Hi Weets/ awk,

I was just following up on the DD you guys did earlier :)

A couple of things I noticed, first it looks like we own
the ruggedized category. Panasonic and others arent even offering encryption, let alone management.

Second, 2 laptops, Transource's Roadrunner, and Fujitsu's P1630,
both have OPAL compliant drives. I've looked high and low for a product using an OPAL drive, w/ no luck. Goes to show you the inclusion of a trusted drive may
not be as obvious as we'd like.
