What I do not understand is how telling someone that you are not happy withy their performance is "firing" them.

How about "Hey IDCC, I know you just got a boat load of shares and are busy selling them but can you stop counting your cash long enough so you can get some new deals signed?"

The Count:"then I would wait for home to be completed so I could sell it at its fair market value."

Key point, why bitch at IDCC BOD & management and us on the IDCC board that will wait till it's well above "market value" before "we" sell? Why not bitch at the "street" or "market value" makers?
Who's fault is it???????????????? simple The Market we are in.

Count: here, here. You are right on when you said:

..."So a rational person might choose not to sell and let it be known that he expects better leadership and performance. Especially in light of the generous amounts that have and are being paid and the incredible bonuses for even moderate success."

I've been letting it be known that I expected more from IDCC's leadership for about two years now. I've been trying to take that message directly to them, hoping that they will improve in certain areas. I still think that IDCC's technology and potential warrant my continued investment and efforts at trying to bring about perceived improvements in performance, communication, governance, fiduciary responsibilities to shareholders, reasonable compensation, etc.

I'm sick and tired of people telling me and others to sell, if we don't like certain things about IDCC, ie love it or leave it. I don't understand why we have to keep having this same debate over, and over, and over again, but we do. Human nature I suppose. Or is it just the lack of any substantive developments at IDCC, so we either have to bitch and moan at one another, or shout Patience brethren over and over again.
