Krays: How did you pull this? PAIRS is not showing this in the wrapper and I don't see any published pdfs sitting out there.

This document only lists around 32 claims.

At first I thought it was just showing a subset of the direct changes to the claims, but that isn't it. Some of the claims listed had only dependent changes and some of the changes are are on dependent claims, but not consistently.

The preamble is correct - all the claims were either canceled, amended, or dependent on an amended claim. In that case, I would expect 85 claims to be listed.

Reflects the official security interest that YA has in NEOM's IP. No different than a pink slip until you pay your lender off. YJ.

Krays,

Nice find!

I see that the inventor is Hudetz but what is with the "assignee" being Cornell Capital Partners?

I thought NEOM bought that patent.

Nice post Krays - I noticed the issued date is March 6, 2001. It has been indicated that the patent will expire in 2016.
Are these patents only good for 15 years (I thought it was 20 years)?

Krays, thanks for posting the reexam certificate.

It seems obvious to me that it clearly says that six claims have been cancelled and a number of others have been amended. Then the certiciate sets forth only the claims that have been amended and, by using brackets and italics, shows how they have been amended. It also sets forth the claims that are dependent on an amended claim.

There is no need for the certificate to reiterate claims that have been cancelled or those that are neither amended nor dependent on an amended claim.

Pretty simple.

Edited:

Dividing the claims into four "classes" may help:

1. Cancelled claims (these are not set forth in the reexam certificate)
2. Amended claims (these are set forth in the reexam certificate)
3. Claims that are dependent on an amended claim (these are set forth in the reexam certificate)
4. Claims that have not been canceled or amended, and are not dependent on a claim that has been amended (these are not set forth in the reexam certificate but are still part of the patent).
