Interesting... One does need to remember...

... That even if TPMs are vulnerable--which they are... because EVERYTHING is... it's a matter of discovering and managing the vulnerabilities as best one can--they still represent a QUANTUM LEAP forward in terms of securing systems and networks.

That last statement is only a slight exaggeration.

Another thing one might want to consider is that the NSA is all over TPMs... investigating them from every possible angle. Oh, and it's not like there a MILLION different varieties of TPMs to test. There are approximately 7... I think... if you count China's Sinosun TPM.

And, yet, the NSA, THE strongest advocate for hardware-based security in the government, is still endorsing the use of commercially available TPMs as part of the High Assurance Platform program.

Finally, one needs to think in terms of LAYERED security... or (as lots of government folks call it): security in depth.
