I know of more than one person who is tapping into their retirement funds early (despite the penalties) to make ends meet.....

people are living day to day, many aren't worried about retirement if they lose their homes NOW.....

something has to give....

Agree with you. I live in SW Florida and a friend of mine was doing a search for homes and he remarked there are so many homes up for sale. I told him of course, much of Florida is tourism and construction and both have been hit.
