mmoy, strange cabling, I'm glad it solves your problem! A few months ago I purchased an external USB disk enclosure with a rechargable battery. That way it recharges while plugged into the wall & can be used without a second cable. (It may also recharge from the USB while the disk is inactive, I'm not sure.)
You do like extending free loans to the government! I always underwithhold about 5% and pay it in April. Don't get the pleasure of a tax return check, although I do keep more of my money during the year. :)
