Let us hope that the Supreme Court does not get involved in this. No telling how long and what the verdict would be. Most of the Judges are loose cannons that go the way of the wind and might just be favorable to the Government in this case. Too friggin political.

There's more, Walrath is somewhat reluctant to destroy this "Great Big Strong Bank" fictional facad they have erected around JPM, just because they did a dirty deed. This fiction is important to the health of the economy and the banking system. So if Mary listens to all of the sour grapes whiners in the WAMU penut gallery, she is apt to destroy some very big carreers and even set the government recovery programs back Many Billions.

If JPM has to go back and say that all those numbers they gave the government were not quite accurate after all....

If JPM has to go to the stock holders and re estimate it's positions post WAMU takeover...
