A little confused here; I may be wrong but when you speak of Weill and his relationship with Dimon, you're talking about the "person" Sanford Weill right? If so, I don't think he has anything to do with the firm representing WAMU's holding co Weil Gotshal & Manges. Maybe I caught the conversation on the tail end?
Interesting. As I recall, Bank One was headquartered in Cleveland and started to accumulate banks in the Midwst including National Bank of Detroit. Bank One was then bought by JPMC. This was the start of JPMC moving their empire from the East to the West. JPMC was setting their sights on WAMU during this time and using every advantage they could including the moles to bring WAMU into the fold. I think Dimon was a mole when he was with Bank One. The reason I was aware of Bank One was I banked with them in Michigan. Maybe Weil should do some earlier DD on Dimon while he was at Bank One or maybe they already have!
