FPG, Dothan has the thin & light market sewn up currently, yes. However it looses to Hammer outside of thin & light, and it dies the day Microsoft's marketing push for XP64 begins.

Let me put it this way. The mobile market is huge, bigger than it's ever been. If Hammer even had one or two segments of this market locked up as you say, that would have translated into significant dollars, both in revenue and profit. AMD would have done much better in their Q2 results, especially since small differences in revenue make big differences in EPS.

And 64-bit isn't even relevant right now in desktops, much less laptops. The early adopters might be gamers, but they're still running mostly desktops, except for the few that got their 10 lb. "game on the go" laptops. Let's wait for the "wave of 64-bit" to hit desktops and workstations first before even expecting a trickle for laptops.
