Addax did pay a premium for XOM's rights, albeit, not a big one. XOM will receive a 2% royalty fee upon production, and they paid XOM for their overall costs for their percentage rights. Net net of 2% for their overall efforts. Not a bad long term profit for just sitting back and focusing your business efforts elsewhere. They are big enough and can do that kind of a deal.
