perhaps you meant it takes decades

well it's a simple matter of perspective in investing in it?

If you had bought apple stock in the 80's would you be happy now?

There are tons of examples of companies that took years and years to turn a profit... especially internet companies

Your contention that Sirius/XM is "overdue" is simply inaccurate.

These were always fun conversations. Thought of this board and our lively debates when I recently took some off the table for the first time

I said it would take years to see returns and it certainly has

lots of ways to make life changing money in this game but the hardest skill to master is patience.

Patience more often than not though, is rewarded to those that have confidence in themselves and their own due diligence

In retrospect, it's probably better that I had to wait this long to appreciate real gains on long plays than chasing around the sub penny pump and dumps looking for those lightning strike windfalls that feel great when they happen but somehow always managed to get lost in the search for the next one

Cheers

side note on your last point to me:

"i cant imagine anyone starting a business and 10 years later still looking for a profit.."

At the time I couldn't either but isnt it so crazy now? Companies spent years upon years burning investor cash with no profit in sight and became...

Amazon, Netflix

Operating at a loss for a decade or more is apparently a new normal
