Thanks for the post. Really quite an interesting read about the James Dial scum. Looks like this story will go on for some time.

Cheers

Thanks Print, We know the characters

and now their fraud and swindles are being dragged out into the public eye. Lyamec saved Global from these con artists - I always wondered about he public animosity between Dial and Lyamec. J. Swinford and Edwin Leonard weren't so lucky. Given the deceptions pulled off for so long, what chance did our shareholder's group who met with Dial ever have?

So Jarvis got the confiscated cash and toys back for now. It definately isn't over IMO. The law has all the time in the world - I just hope they have the resources to keep the case alive.:

"Newman and Jarvis hired top Houston trial lawyer Dick DeGuerin, who began pressuring the government to either file an official forfeiture action in court or return the seized money and assets—which included cars, jet skis, office equipment, and other items—to his clients." ... "Rather than risk an unfavorable ruling from the judge, the government voluntarily withdrew the complaint and returned the money. But the U.S. Attorney’s office withdrew “without prejudice to bring action in future,” which means prosecutors are free to refile the case with a revised complaint at any time."

Print, probably the best find of the Grifco Era! However, this is an RPM story, not a Grifco story. The only reason the Texas Monthly picked it up is because it involves a sitting Texas legislator.

I'll be in contact with the Texas Monthly to try and get them interested in the larger Grifco story. I've tried for 3 years to get an "investigative" reporter with the Houston Chronicle to take an interest in it, with no success.

While Lois was still sitting in Swinford's office she and Nick were promoting a NORM tool through NuTech. After it was brought to Swinford's attention, it took months before he finally got rid of her.

Very interesting about what the TM says about the Jet Motor never being shipped. That alone should be enough to get Dial jail time. He flat said in a PR that the had "shipped" 50 Jet Motors. No "forward looking statement" in the wording of that PR.

I don't see Jim Dial's name in that. Just Newman and Jarvis.
I always thought that Jim Dial believed he had 20 million shares out and asked for help from the authorities. I know one post asked that share confirmation be sent to Grifco so they could investigate rather than sent to the SEC.

I know the message board really changed after that buyout PR. That's when I was asked if I thought all shares outstanding were real or only those that did not end up receiving CTBG shares. I know that Transfer on line did not recognize mine.
