GSB update 05/01/09

GlobalSCAPE is a software company that makes file transfer software. They recently sold a large $2.7M order to the U.S. Army which will add significantly to the bottom line in 2009. My estimate is that 2009 EPS will be $0.15 which is great for a stock that last traded at $1.13. I think they have chances for some additional large orders. Since they have GM of 88% any additional large orders will be a huge addition to the bottom line.

More DD can be found here also see below:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=9942

GlobalSCAPE, Inc. develops, distributes, and maintains secure managed file transfer software that enables individuals and business users to send data over the Internet, as well as wide-area file system, and collaboration and continuous data protection software. The company offers file transfer protocol (FTP) client programs, including CuteFTP, which permits a user to request a file from or send a file to an FTP server or host computer; and CuteFTP Pro, a program that incorporates encrypted transfers using SSL, HTTP, and SSH2, as well as S/KEY password encryption. It also provides file transfer servers, such as Secure FTP Server, which offers digital certificate management system, as well as facilitates system administrators to create, sign, import, export, and add digital certificates; and Enhanced File Transfer Server, an enterprise file server to provide digital certificate management, multiple secure protocols, remote administration, flexible authentication choices, and automation and advanced security options. Further, it provides Mail Express, an email attachment solution that facilitates to send and receive large files, such as images, video, and data files; and CuteSendIt, a SaaS managed file transfer solution. GlobalSCAPE serves finance, health care, energy, retail, manufacturing, and engineering markets worldwide. The company was founded in 1996 and is based in San Antonio, Texas.

Investment Thesis

1. Large New Order - GlobalSCAPE recently announced a $2.7M order from the US Army. They have huge GM so most of that sale will drop to the bottom line. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?Message_id=37409094

2. Very High Gross Margins - GlobalSCAPE had gross profit margins of 88% in 2008. As revenue increases, a large percentage of revenue will drop to the bottom line.

3. Prospects for More Large Government Orders - IMO they are hinting at the possibility of more large government orders. I think there is a good chance that they get some although there are no guarantees. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=37475161

4. New Products - They have recently released several new products including MailXpress, new languages for CuteFTP, and an AS2 add-on module for their Enhanced File Transfer Server Product. In some cases the impact of these products have yet to hit the bottom line and in other cases they are just starting. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=37474744

5. Cost Cutting - They have done some cost cutting relative to Q3 levels including closing of the Andover office and elimination of some duplication of executive salary that occurred during management changes. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=37474324 Furthermore, the impairment charge that they made in 2008 will improve quarterly pre-tax income by $75K. In aggregate I expect these changes will improve quarterly earnings by $0.005/share relative to Q3 levels.

6. Strong Balance Sheet - GSB has a book value of $043/share which include $0.36/share in cash. Furthermore, they have no debt.

VBDG -- 5/11/09 update:

VBDG -- my take on the incredible news:

http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=37720940

It seems like all of VBDG financials concerns just disappeared. They partnered with a much bigger fish who saw that VBDG has overwhelming massive demand for their products and agreed to bankroll the manufacture, distribution, delivery, inventory, etc. and split the profits with VBDG, guarranteeing them millions of dollars every year including at a bare minimum a $2.8 million in checks by the end of next month which is virtually all profit since P2F is taking on all of the risk & expenses. Meanwhile, VBDG's expenses ontop of this have fallen off a cliff. VBDG will be easily nicely profitable going forward IMO without even trying.....in this case, quite literally.

In the mean time, while P2F does all the work, takes all the risk, and handles all of the expenses, VBDG is left to develop new products and focus on the development and selling via infomercial while receiving guaranteed large checks from P2F.

Also as part of the news, they successfully renotiated their notes that the market was concerned over to terms that require zero payments until September 2009 and then only $50,000/month for the first few months. Total dilution = 0 shares, 0 warrants. Absolutley NONE.

VBDG has 30 million shares outstanding and a tiny market cap.

ALL IMO

EGMI -- 5/15/09 update:

EGMI Update -- 5/14 C.C. -- forecasts Q2 record sales and earnings, they are expecting to announce the closing of "at least two" significant deals "with household names" by June 30, 2009. Insiders plan to continue to make open market purchases "when appropriate." (the chairman has bought millions of shares aggressively). A 3 million share buyback was officially voted on and approved.

EGMI CONFERENCE CALL
http://biz.yahoo.com/cc/8/103658.html <~~~a must listen, 7 callers from institutions on the line

Q1 Earnings were +.03 EPS for the Q, trailing +.10 EPS, guidance for +.14 for 2009 subject to acceleration with the announcement of the new deals being announced.

Despite EGMI being up huge from its low, even at THIS level, EGMI going forward remains my #1 favorite stock by leaps and bounds going forward. It's STILL trading so cheap it's pathetic IMO. .25/share in cash/investments, zero debt, pristine balance sheet, tiny PE both historic and going forward while guidance is going to be raised up probably big as suggested in the CC.

EGMI, from here, is going to blow the up big IMO

(Starts 2:25 into it)

This is not a PR from VBDG.
This is not an interview from VBDG.
This is not an estimate from VBDG.

This is a forecast from the Discovery Channel's show Pitchmen themselves after testing out the ad "on a variety of networks and time slots" on the show for all kinds of new products then forecasts their failure or success rate based on the success or failure rate of how much money the TV ad testing brought back in sales. VBDG's just launched product "the tool bandit" is forecasted to be a "grand slam" with "gross sales up to $700k/week" as the ad generated 3.5 times in sales vs. the cost of the ad. This also coincides with what I heard that when the tool bandit was featured briefly on The Today Show, it sold 10k units within 5 minutes.

Which probably explains this:

05/27/09 DAAT Update

DAAT posted Q1 EPS of $0.03 in a seasonally weak quarter with a 339% increase in net income! That was an impressive showing.

Here are some reasons why I think DAAT will be a huge winner from the current price:

1. Revenue is growing at a 30% clip due to the huge demand for guns and the associated gun accessories that DAAT sells. There is fear of changing regulations which is driving gun sales. http://www.mlive.com/news/chronicle/index.ssf?/base/news-16/1233919064211400.xml&coll=8

2. DAAT's margins are expanding rapidly due to lower input costs and some price increases.

3. I expect 2009 EPS to be in the $0.15 ballpark thus making the forward PE a mere 4.

4. DAAT has recently been buying back shares. They have purchased 4% of the outstanding shares since September!

5. DAAT's book value is $0.89/share so they are trading at a sizable discount to BV. Furthermore, they are debt free!
