If anything, it will destroy their reputation in the legal community. they will be viewed as lightweights not willing to get dirty. all bark with no bite. i use to do debt collection law (hated it) and would always try to get as much as possible. some asked why i went through such lengths to get a few extra dollars. my reply was that it wasn't the money, it was having the reputation of being of pitbull. if i let things go, then people would know i was all talk but would eventually back down if someone fought hard enough.
