PINR news out!!! Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. Sets the Stage for Concert Promotions Revenue Market Wire "US Press Releases "
FORT WAYNE, IN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 04/27/09 -- Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: PINR) announces its appointment of producer Kelsi Velpel as its Director of Concert Promotions, a key move in the development of the company's Music Division. President, Mark B. Newbauer, feels the new addition to the company's team is crucial as Concert Promotions will play a prominent role in the company's first year revenues. His plans are to begin with regional shows this summer, featuring name talent, with the first two shows already funded. Names and venues will be announced in line with the company's marketing strategy and MTP Productions will host at least one large name at a nationally recognized venue by end of Summer 2009.
Kelsi Velpel, a recent graduate of Indiana University , has had an impressive turn in the Music Industry since 2007 when she took on co-ownership of BFA Entertainment, LLC , a full-service recording studio, record label and Concert Promotions company.
Newbauer feels that Kelsi Velpel is exactly what the company needs to promptly take its music division from infancy stages to full service concert and tour promotions. "I met Ms. Velpel at a sold-out show she produced a few months back and we've been in discussion since. She has a proven track record and has accomplished more in the first two years of her career than I've seen from other promoters that have been in the business for much longer. She has direct access to household names in the form of talent and solid relationships with major ticket brokers, radio stations and venues nationwide." MTP Productions concert season will begin with a range in cost from between $25,000-$600,000 .
Newbauer's plans for MTP Prods will begin with concert promotions toward expediting revenues while they continue background development on their feature film slate with announcements forthcoming on strategic industry attachments. Mark states, "Concerts are widely recognized as recession proof; yes, entertainment as a whole for the most part; however concerts, as opposed to feature films, have a faster turnaround on profits. There are large companies like Live Nation which have the reigns on Madonna, U2 and others for now, but there is plenty of room in terms of profitability and growth for independent promoters such as MTP Prods as live performances become more valuable with each day passing." Newbauer's sentiments are echoed by Pop/Rock legend David Bowie, who was recently quoted in a response to why ticket prices have gone up over 82% in the last 5 years: "Music itself is going to be like running water or electricity. You'd better be prepared for doing a lot of touring because that's really the only unique situation that's going to be left."
