MR. Ordie: I cannot understand your post.

The PR from Scanbuy says nothing about patents.

Neom, on the other hand, had its '048 patent re-validated by the USPTO about six weeks ago. And it is that patent (and a couple of others) that Neom has sued Scanbuy for infringing.

And the USPTO decision in favor of Neom makes it much more likely that Neom will either (i) win the case, if it goes to trial or (ii) drop the case because Scanbuy has agreed to license Neom's patents.

You really should not be investing in a company whose primary assets are a bunch of patents if you don't understand these things.

(EDITED) livefree...very good question. First, IMO Neomedia's 048 patent win automatically implies ownership of this space...this is simply an opinion due to the nature of that patent being the core of this technology.

Second, I believe that if Scanbuy had won the patent suit in either NY or TX they would be shouting from the rafters. IMO we would have immediately seen some type of press release.

Livefree, there is little doubt in my mind that neom owns this space. I also believe that as much as everyone on ihub contends that Scanbuy is in no way collaborating with neom, I tend to feel they have been but that they are simply attempting to protect their stake in this industry.

There have been far to many "coincidences" of Neom and Scanbuy being in the same place at the same time...Scanbuy always arriving after Neom tested the technology, and immediately signing the business. Companies do not follow, they lead. Therefore, I am of the opinion that Neom had an arrangement with Scanbuy to sign those deals and continue working them...while neom got on with the task of addressing infrastructure so that this platform could launch globally.

It all makes sense and I am sticking to my guns on this, however, I will admit that what began as collaboration could have ended differently...but the needs of the industry would dictate the former.
