Exactly why I asked about the EIA and the permits. I've worked in Washington, California and Alaska and know how long it takes to get permits. I also know how brutal "public consultations" are and how political they can get. Check out the mining activity in Alaska now for the Pebble Mine as the example. This actually went to the voters last year and is still in limbo.
This is a brutal, time consuming, expensive, high risk to fail process, that takes a lot of smoozing to get done. Does anyone here think with the cast of nutjobs we've got with this company, any politician would hang his hat on any one of them?
Do the math folks...doesn't add up. And juk is right, this is pure deception!
Oh and before I forget, who's the PMP for the project? Most states now reuire a "Project Management Professional" certified by the "Project Management Institute" (PMI). And last item, any land stripping will also require the USACE (US Army Corps of Engineers) to do a survey, which also takes months (especially if the mine will be located in or near a "flood plain." Environmental Engineering 101.
