CIM's zinc deposit was never "worked" as you put it, at least not as a mining operation. It was discovered in the 1960's and extensively drilled by Falconbridge. The tonnages are sub-economic, although interesting. If zinc went up considerably, it would be worth a second look.
There is no zinc in kimberlite. The kimberlite play is hundreds of miles away in a completely different geological setting.
Instead of "when mining eventually takes place", the proper descriptor would be "if mining ever takes place".
