who knows...maybe the buyer is getting some sort of governmental credit for buying a GREEN company..and perhaps the credit could amount to 30% of the total purchase price ...how do we know?

True it doesn't make sense. If people want to do a little research on how to value a current real life company go to BuySellBiz.com You can look at all kinds of companies that are for sale in all kinds of industries. Start-ups to mature deals where the owner is ready to retire. Some are doing huge volume and making killer money. Some are trying to sell potential but they haven't done anything special with it. We have a company with deals in place and several on the verge of signing. That HAS value but as you said before, It hasn't been done yet so not the value of a business that already has the track record. I have been looking for something to buy so that is why I lean more towards your numbers. From my DD on buying a business in the position we are in .12 -.15 makes sense. The "cream factor" is what ever other unknown business deals that may be close at hand and some of the other things we have forgotten about gives me the .20 to.25 top end.

Just a quick note here.....many good companies actually put away cash during good times so that they can survive when the economic cycle slows and so that they can expand during slow periods. This will give them a head start on their competition if they had the cash, survived and were able to expand by buying into new technologies, buying small but promising companies and improving their own abilities to compete.

To say that this company will not be purchased at a premium because the economy in general is struggling may not be entirely accurate. Just my opinion on the possibilities. Good luck all...By the way, I'm long here since April 08 and in for the long haul. May good fortune come to all.
