Who is "riditman"? I love coffee. Grind my own beans once in the morning at my house, and once in the office around 10am. In the Marines I was the battalion coffee NCO, an unoffical, but very important leadership role in the Armed Forces. In fact, many attribute the North's victory in the civil war to the logistic capabilities of northern generals to distribute coffee beans to their troops. Back then they didn't know the difference between stimulation and nutrition, so coffee beans fueled most of the men on the battlefield. I guess the same is true for wall street these days. I was often called upon for my coffee skills in the last presidential election. I got Governor Palin her skim milk latte's, Senator & Mrs. McCain their coffees, and even got the chance to drink coffee with them on occasions. Coffee brings people together, has fueled the warriors who win wars, and is the one thing Democrats and Republicans agree on without any debate. I love coffee and I love SFMI's coffee like attitude towards mining. There is an investment hedge, coffee and gold production. Does anyone know if there is an analysis of the coorelation between gold mining and coffee production? Both industries would appear to be using the similar land formations; hilly and mountain environments for mining and growing coffee at the same time. Is there any truth in that? Could mining and coffee or other agricultural production be done on the same property at the same time without health risks?
