Don, a true P & D orchestrated by the company itself (which is what you are suggesting) produces nothing, nada, zilch. It's all smoke and mirrors. PR's with no real activity behind them. Post boxes, but no true corporate address. If your intention is to pull off a P & D you don't waste your hard-cheated money on anything so bizarre as an actual product.
Look at RVGD. A physical address - visited and attested to. Fully decked out for production. A staff - seen, photographed, etc. Multiple actual production vehicles - not just the GTM-R ... GTO, Solstice, Ridgeline. A product marketing campaign including 2 high-profile car shows.
Now, there ARE unscrupulous (and also just plain incompetent) CEO's that have no real interest in shareholder value (pinkyland is chock full of them). They are happy to dilute and R/S and anything else to raise $$$ for as long as they can get away with it. But the company they are building is real nonetheless.
RVGD is clearly not what is correctly called a P & D. (We could WISH he'd do a little "pumping"!) Whether the CEO is concerned about shareholders is another matter completely.
