Jai, Nokia's problems are simple: they are too big and arrogant. I know all about processors. IBM's and Compaqs' problems all boiled down to price. These two guys where, and I mean WHERE, kings of their domains. They got beat by price. Nokia will never gain the share they had. Nokia won the share they had for one reason, they where "the European supplier" and they HAPPENED to be at the forefront of GSM. Nokia is not at the forefront of 3G.
Nokia has a "trigger" based 3g licence, just as they have a 2g license. What makes you think Nokia will not play the same game again?????
BTW, IBM and COMPAQ lost their battles at the 8088 stage.
