Perhaps with a bit of effort we could whittle these down into another table similar to the "Phase III drugs looking for a home."

You just made a good start! What’s needed now for each company in the proposed table is the net cash as of 12/31/08 (unless there’s been a more recent financing), the net cash per share as of 12/31/08, and the discount relative to the current market price, which can be recalculated on a regular basis (say weekly).

I think making the list (especially nowadays) makes you a candidate to move into the PK and OB category so I would be in favor of keeping OB and PK's that have audited financials.
