I guess we will have to both be speaking the same language in order to communicate.

Almost all DVD burners are cabled via SATA. That is a small red cable. Older ones were cabled with a wide ribbon cable called an IDE cable. With the IDE cable, you needed to run a separate audio cable to the sound port. SATA includes the audio in it.
