IDCC is GRANTING a 3G LICENSE that is ROYALTY BEARING.

2G will be PAID UP in 2010 (18 months from now)

The $400 million will be paid over the 18 months.

IDCC agreed that all past transgressions are forgiven.

Is it not possible that the $400 million covers all sales through 2008 plus 2G through 2010 and IDCC is paid additional for 3G sales 1/1/2009 through 12/31/2012?

Royalty bearing does not mean per unit

See the announcement of the LG license - Olddog posted it earlier today. It also said royalty bearing. Royalty bearing can be fixed fee, like LG, or per unit.
