Wow, that's pretty amazing.

With avg daily volume of about 99k/day, short covering represented about 30% of the volume during the period. That's huge. Without them, TIV would be a penny stock now. It's only a matter of time before that eventuality comes true. Then comes delisting and back to the NASDQ. Then bankruptcy?

I wonder how many folks were scrambling to get their certs out of their safe deposit boxes and to a broker house so they could sell, as the share price went into this protracted, unabated and vertical nose dive to a dollar? If you look back over time, there really wasn't much (anything?) the CEO touted over many years that came to fruition. Bad luck or incompetency? Of course, I'm sure the finger of blame is pointed at everyone/everything else but in reality, the buck stops there and when the shirt hits the fan.....

It is very odd the Directors are allowing all this devastation, particularly in shareholder value/wealth, to continue without any "change in course". Their loyalty is supposed to be with us, the shareholders, not the Chairman of the Board, right?

JanA Short Interest for TIV , as of mid-January 2009:

1,836,400 shares

Short interest was down 160,000 shares during the most recent reporting period , another 8% covered.

Instead of a past (and very theoretical LOL) 'months and months to cover' talked about by a few uninformed folks , the 'days to cover' is down to less than three weeks.

So much for 'rocket fuel' Lynn. The short interest is as low as it's been since May 2005 , and the price , well it's been a long long time since TIV saw $0.97. Historical low share price , even in the midst of the shorts covering 2.2 million shares in 6 months. Good thing the shorts were buying.

Lower highs and lower lows , and shorts covering.
