It's not exactly expecting to be the thrill of a lifetime. Nor do they have to be in order to be effective.
For example, I find your posts to be very informative and very good, and I as much as I enjoy reading them, they are about as exciting a read as pamphlets at the DMV during a 4 hour standing-room-only wait.
The games on their site are pretty bad. However, I think those are aimed at replacing the lottery scratch tickets and need to be made for very low cost to entice lotteries to use them. I think that is why they are of lower quality. The quiz cards should be a better designed product.
