Paul, it would seem they got one thing wrong -

Another direct information without relationship with Dual Core, AMD envisages a transition towards a new type of Socket in first half of the year of the year 2006.

I recall Ruiz said that dual core would be plug compatible with existing Opteron (socket 940).

Do not listen to this guy, lost all credibility, he loves Intel just as much as he criticize AMD. His sources come from a "Russian" AMD engineer.
