#45458 RE: 2bStealthy #45421

good evening 2b,

its good to see that i now need an ename. this is the first opertunity that ive had since getting back from nyc, to sit down and actually put down on paper the impressions of the latest wave shm. i dont spend near the time around these boards that i used to. but id be kidding if i were to say that i dont mark time by wave events, since i first thought i shared peters vision.
it has been truely facinating for me to watch, how business is done at this level in america. after a couple of comdexes, three shm, ca lawyers, larks gettysburg address of web services at cmu,and this last weekend in nyc i should have way more grey hair than i do.

the meeting room was way smaller than in past years. a lot of the same faces but everyone looked six years or so older, accept vch, the meeting was the most professional and stylishly done that i have witnessed in a long time, thanks to chairman begley,he is a very polished speaker and you could tell that he was very good at running a gentlemens meeting i sat on the left side of the room, over to my left in front of me was a man that could type on a laptop computer faster tnan anyone i have ever seen. what he was typing i could not see.
nelzoni and yaya, i knew it was yaya cause he had a on name tag, were having some kind of wavoid dicussion over cell phones. soon, as steven was trying to tell us about the 4pm pr, another cell phone rang, this time it was some guy right behind me. chairman begly immediately admonished him for the use of these devices while our ceo was some reporting on the best new wave has ever had. and then one of the guys on the front row, who was an older gentleman, an i believe he was sitting on the front row with gg, rushed from his seat, out of the room. I would bet he did not know how to turn his phone off, but i could be wrong.steven was his same enthusiastic self, with his usual shm outfit. he seemed a little tired, but i know how tiring the pace he keeps is. my partner, gary and i quickly agreed with steven when he brought up the point that it was miller time and moved to the other room for a cold one. my biggest diapointment of the whole trip was that there were no ice cold bud bottles. this was a wave event first for me.
i talked with awk, lincoln park , mrs weby, and tried to listen to steven but he already had a huge audiance. drank amstell light, wich i thought was a chicago beer, had some really good red raspberries and crackers and chese. at about 6.15 i patted steven on the shoulder and said thanks,i have to go, his grip was strong as ever and he thanked me for coming. had hoped to meet cm, but he had a date,
gary and iwere on the vip list for taping the first show, of the gram norton effect. this meant drinks in the green room before and after . so we left the helmsly by 6.15. the show was funny and i thought very professionally done. british comedy does sell in the us.
speaking of grey hair,. trippi looks like he colors his but he looked as fit and healthy as i have ever seen him. maybe it was beacuse he didnt have all of the usual wires running out of his pockets and ears.
tonight i feel real good about our little company and hope and pray that we feel really good later this year..

hoping all is well with you and the family
