The sad fact is the UAW is a very small portion of the work force and is getting too much media play, IMO...

I don't have any idea of the total layoff numbers from November...But the UAW workforce is only a small percentage of the number of folks that lost jobs in November alone...

Headlines sometimes distort total reality while they may not mean too...

And the wages for production workers appears only a drop in the bucket of the auto industry woes ongoing...

2009 early preview,,,Overall the economy is just in the early stages of credit withdrawal due to the real estate forclosure problems...The trickle effect of degraded credit will gain momentum before reaching a peak...perhaps...LJ
