Well sabbathia is still in his prime. I think he will win 20+ on the Yankees next year. My concerns, are the number of Innings the last two years, and his possible weight problems, but other then that he is a big time pitcher in his prime. The Yankees for all their buying free agents haven't brought a big time starting pitcher in his prime, probably why they haven't had the success they should have had with the money they spend. Because they like shopping in the one year wonder section such as J Wright or C Pavano, and they like signing older guy like R Johnson and K Brown. Sabbathia is neither of those things he still is relatively young, and he is an ace. My guess is they fair much better with Sabbathia.
As for the Mets it does shorten the game. A glaring weakness has suddenly become one of the the best 8th-9th inning combos in the game. Putz is a very good closer now be used as a set up guy, and K-rod is one of the best in the game. Hopefully Putz can adjust to being a setup guy that is my one concern. I love what the Mets are doing so far in the off season.
