Weby is right and hopes that Barge IS righter.

I believe in Bargian possibilities. I consider Scorp's opinion second to none. Tampa and I enjoy each other's company. We each see parts of the elephant.

I think Larry D. has a conventional view of the world and is being driven crazy by an unconventional stock and CEO. He believes in it but has as much trouble buying given his beliefs as I have selling (when I must for cashflow) BTW Larry, I am a better indicator than your charts -- I always seem to sell at a bottom in an uptrend.


My point?

Not to bash Barge, the vision thing is wonderful, but has limits. CM and I argued with him that web services and interoperability were a long way off. We were right -- he was left. Versecure maybe in the mix still, but I sure don't know where. As I recall, we had to drag Barge kicking and screaming until he accepted Vanilla and (temporarily) gave up on EII.

Barge always is the visionary leader of this board....and on interoperability, web services, HP and believing that there would be a TCG like conspiracy -- he has helped us all keep the faith where there was no religion.

On the specifics of the vision and how it will eventually be implemented, Janus, Versecure, Vanilla, KTM, he has been as right as anybody because it's an always shifting world of strange hats and tinfoil that we live in. Janus, Niveus, EDS, Maximus, Hippa, airport security, national ID cards and driver's licenses....an always shifting world in which SKS leads us. NOBODY including Sprague, Gates, Bush, and Cheney knows how Internet security will look in another six years, but Wave is in the box sitting at the edge of the bay.....

SKS has been disingenuous at times. I think he had to be to keep the dream alive......CEOship is the art of the possible. Very few would still be here if he said in 2002 -- it's gonna take five more years -- money would not have been raised...Wave would be gone zippo zero...so I chose not to bash him for dragging me along day by day year by year. Visionary, like Barge, my eye has always been on the absolute inveitability of fencing in the Internet, taming the Wild West and Peter understanding that in 1998 before 98% of American's have heard the term WWW or even Internet.

Well, the Spragues, Snackmans, Webys, Barges, are still here.
The Larry D's are waiting for absolute confirmation....but from my point of view the posts are in the ground and the fences are starting to appear. A VPN group here. A secure email group there. The government is just figuring out that the technology exists to securely communicate while staying connected. Carl has said so many times It's coming.....

Barge is a master of hyperbole. He sho9uld be read that way. He has fun without a bit of meanness. Tampa has also been a CEO and knows what Micro was saying. Snackman has said time and again we can fail and make up your own mind. so I'll end this one by saying.

Can't you HEAR the dominos falling......everything else is a matter of opinion and differnt folks ways of thinking it through, making money, and surviving.
