CL - Does anyone remember last August?

Snack asked this recently. When Wave PRed an Intel mobo "deal" last year it was all about the possibility. That was almost a year ago & the 865 deployment meant almost nothing in terms of revs.

Instead, execs dumped millions of shares & bought themselves a formal SEC investigation & a baker's dozen of Class Action suits.

This recent announcement did not "blue light" Intel. The two boards Wave claims are shipping, according to the Intel site are only TPM-optional. SO, first the customer has to ask for the TPM (presumably w/additional cost). Then Wave's ETS is a second optional feature.

The 865 included a TPM & ETS & resulted in meager revs & there was the "unknown" factor when it was announced. Now everyone knows how financially insignificant the "deal" was for Wave.

Yes, the point made that Intel continued to test the market adoption w/Wave is well taken. But now they have added two new mobos, but the TPM *and* the ETS are mere options. From what i quickly gleaned, the Spraguespeak about mass marketing seems a bit misleading IMO.

it ain't last august, just like it ain't 2000 anymore... not only that, but Wave is running on fumes (yet again) *and* they have $25M worth of paper to float.

i sorta doubt you'll get the price yer looking for anytime soon.

good luck!
