They Must sign pitchers, with Mussina retiring it makes it even more important, and if Pettitte doesn't resign with them then things have become a desparate situation, actually things are pretty desparate even if they resign pettitte. They need to sign at least two pitchers if Pettitte is resigned, and at least 3 if Petttitte isn't resigned. Lets just say starting Pitchers are going to cost this season, because the Yankees will be bidding desparately. This concerns me, because the Mets Need 2 starters as well. So prices for starting Pitchers are going to go through the roof. Guys like a sonnistine or Jackson may be a cost effective solution for a team like the Mets, although I highly doubt they would be Traded in division to the Yankees. Just my opinion.
