I have never known of a case where any officer or anyone else was required to buy shares. I was with a company once that said we had to sell our shares back to the company. Not so. They were buying at about $24. We later got $70 on a buy out.

A company can not tell you anything about your stock. Still a free country regarding buying and selling. Really.
