What you are suggesting might seem obvious to a newcomer, but the true picture is more complicated. Check out this informed post by Greenband:

My own observation has been that you really can't read anything into Insider purchases. What the CFO did in this case is totally illogical. He singlehandedly drove the price up from .50 to .80 and was responsible for most of the volume over the course of 3-4 days. They may be required to hold a certain number of shares, or maybe their own egos cause them to purchase shares. I have found it to be not a meaningful indicator. Greenband confirmed my observation.

uWink is a very curious stock. It is affected by several things; it is a great idea with broad application, they have multiple income streams, and have no debt. However, they cannot likely get debt financing and have very poor (negative) cash flow. This results in Financial Risk. Opinions vary about what that means for the stock price and the future of the company. Some people think it is simply a great buy, others not. What i have seen happen in many cases like this is some kind of refinancing that leaves current investors screwed. Sometimes a Reverse Split followed by equity offering. They already did that a few years ago, so that would not likely be well received.

I have been fairly straightforward about my thoughts on this. I am not sure right now what the "bottom" for uWink is... (what situation defines it, not what price) much less at what price. I think they have to get control of their current situation.

You say you are a newcomer, I am not sure where you are at. If you are a paying member and can exchange PMs we can talk about all kind of things unrelated to uWink via Private Messaging. Some advice: don't just fall in love with any stock. Consider the pros/cons, and PPS in comparison with whatever else is out there. Get in the habit of looking using search tools and setting criteria. You will not find your answers here. We spend more time aggravating each other out of boredom and just for fun..

In any case, good luck and welcome to the Board!
