Ricta52- you seem to be a "savvy" investor from your past posts, so I would think you would have been on the phone to Etrade by now !! If they are like the other brokers, they usually have someone manning the phones every day. Make that call !!!
Really, I'd be on the phone, too. I'm an Ameritrade customer, but they have someone around on weekends to answer questions, and I'd be surprised if E-trade didn't.

Did you buy shares less than three days before Friday? If you have a cash account, and if the shares you bought earlier hadn't settled by Friday, then you are indeed short.
I sold 2 Million shares on Friday afternoon and now I am riding free shares, but today I looked at my portfolio through e-trade and it says that I am short 1.5 Million shares of CMKX!
